Profile:
JANET DANZI
I have always been interested in art and became serious in the early 80’s, when I took private oil painting lessons.
I received an A.A.S. degree in fine arts in 1989 from Housatonic Community College, Bridgeport, Ct. I also studied at Northwestern Community College, Winsted, Ct. and Sierra College, Rocklin, CA.
I exhibited and won awards for pastel and pen & ink from 1984-86 at Torrington Art Show, Torrington, CT., showed watercolors at Gallery South, Torrington, CT., Northwestern Bank, Winsted, Ct., and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington, Ct.
In 1993 I had a one person watercolor show at Sacramento State University. In 1999 I exhibited at the Rocklin Library and from 2001 to present at the Springfield Art Shows, Snowflake Art Show and the Rocklin Fine Arts Membership Show.
I am currently a member of the Springfield Fine Arts Club and the Monday Afternoon Art Studies, at which time I work with the other artists at Springfield to encourage fine arts in our community.
I work in watercolors, pastels, pen and pencil. I enjoy nature, especially flowers and try to achieve transparency in watercolors. My subjects come from my photos.
